The Fouding Of The Helfing Law Firm
Ken Helfing is the founder of The Helfing Law Firm. A native of Los Angeles, CA, Ken attended UCLA while working as a senior paralegal for over five years before pursuing his Juris Doctor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he graduated with cum laude honors.
His interaction and experience working with court professionals and judges during his three clerkships in the state and appellate courts system provided him with invaluable insight and knowledge. He now brings that hard earned knowledge and his natural tenacity to bear for his clients. While many attorneys view themselves as “problem solvers”, Ken takes the proactive approach of being a “problem avoider.” But when a fight is unavoidable, then his motto is “fight hard, fight to win.”
That's why Ken chose to open his own firm. He believes in a more personal approach to practicing law. When representing a client, the client’s interests must always be heard and understood. On a syndicated radio talk show, Ken was interviewed about the Terri Schiavo matter. Not only was he asked to stay even longer to continue the interview, but the venerated radio personality made the comment to Ken and said, “You know, you’re the first lawyer I could actually understand.” And that’s just how he likes it. Ken, however, likes to take that one step further. In furtherance of his vision to build a law firm that is personal to its clients, he strives to ensure that The Helfing Law Firm has lawyers that you can understand, but has lawyers who also understand you!
Always the competitor and outdoor enthusiast, you will find Ken coaching and playing golf, and volunteering at CMS schools. But most of all, he enjoys best the time spent with his two awesome boys.
"I was referred to Ken when my business partner and I were looking to set up our business. Ken consulted with us and walked us through various options. Through his expertise, we were able to set up the type of business that was most advantageous for our situation. His work was thorough and his expertise impressive.
Since then, I have reached out to Ken on other matters and he is always straightforward, personable and knowledgeable. I trust and appreciate his guidance and would recommend working with him."
